Best Surprises For The Groom on a Stag Weekend
It’s a time old tradition to surprise the groom on a stag weekend. The groomsmen (that’s you), know him best and, with a little bit of creativity and planning, can really get him good on a stag weekend! If you’re not sure where to start, don’t worry! We have three ideas to get the ball rolling. Here are three things you could surprise the groom with on the stag weekend:
With an old friend / someone across the pond
Every person, and therefore every stag, has a friend that they lost to them moving, whether it’s across the country or across the pond. It wouldn’t be right to have a stag party without every friend the groom cares about so be sure you include everyone – just don’t tell the groom! Let him think this friend isn’t coming or, better yet, let him forget to invite him. Organise a well-timed entrance on the friend’s behalf to surprise the groom with someone he cares about – and probably hasn’t seen in ages!
Relive a childhood memory
This is a task designed for the best of best men. It takes a lot of knowledge about the groom! What was his favourite place when he was younger? Does he have a fond memory of a place or an activity such as a treehouse in an abandoned field or race carting around a specific track? The trick is to plant the stag party close enough to the location that it’s easy to surprise him with but not close enough for him to bring it up or remember it. The nostalgia factor will be incredible!
A bucketlist item
We all have a bucket list of cool places we want to go, things we want to see and things we want to do. Make sure you know your groom’s! Let him think he knows what the stag weekend has in store for him – and probably go along with a few things to prevent any suspicion. But be sure to organise an activity from his bucket list and surprise him with it! Ensure he has no idea where he is going and doesn’t put two and two together until he’s at the venue!
